Doug Calhoun

Doug likes to say he is in the "heart business."  His passion for people and their transformation gives him a soft shepherd's heart; this combines with his missional desire that God’s glory fill the whole earth. Doug’s ministry began working with university students as an InterVarsity staff and IFES staff member (one reason he relishes the college students at RCC). Moving to the church arena, he served in a wide range of roles. As a pastor, he has traveled to six continents resourcing national churches, leading mission teams, serving on boards and forming or strengthening mission partnerships. Doug also has a gift for preparing engaged couples for marriage. He enjoys cooking, movies, golf, nature, scuba diving and wine tasting. Doug and his wife Adele have two children. Nathaniel and his wife Elie live and work in Africa. Annaliese lives and works in St. Louis. Doug is a graduate of Miami University (B.S) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div. and D.Min.).  He is a certified counselor for Prepare Enrich. Doug currently serves on the board of the Del Camino Network (www.delcaminoconnection.org). Doug and Adele are certified Enneagram trainers. They enjoy presenting workshops and seminars together.
