"We don't want to be entertained." (~anonymous student)
At RCC our youth ministry is not about entertaining young people while the adults "do church." We realize that if you come to any of our events, you're probably looking for something more than entertainment. Connection, relationships, authenticity, a listening ear. We're not going to try to entertain you, we're going to try to get to know you and hear your story.
If you're a student in grade 6 through 12, we've got special opportunities for you to explore the claims of Jesus with sensitivity to where you are in life. From outings to places like Skyzone and Laser Quest, to Sunday night "Face-Time" Group, to retreats and missions trips and everything in between; we've got you covered if you're looking for a place to walk with peers as you try to follow Jesus Christ.
At RCC we invite all people, young and old, to worship together for most of our Sunday morning service. It's good for families and it's good for our community to worship like that! Students teach adults to lighten up, and adults teach students to take responsibility for their own faith. And yet we know that there's something special about sharing some time with peers; so middle and high school students may attend a Sunday School class during the middle portion of our worship service. (This is optional!!)
We hope to create an environment in which students can ask questions, explore answers, and follow Jesus more closely every day.
